Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell

Colleen Grace previously released an EP and has now made a mature full-length.

She sings beautifully and plays the piano in an accomplished way. Her style is like a less theatrical Tori Amos or a more earthy Sarah McLachlan.

“All Blue” is delicate and has a suitably melancholy lyric. Colleen displays a startling gift for vocal harmonies here.

“Back into The Earth” was the title track of the EP and it’s still a lovely song. Shades of early Tori Amos abound, with Colleen Grace showing an equal skill with the ivories.

“Little Boy Leaving” has a folk-influenced sound and a gorgeous plaintiveness to it.

“Frustrated” is simple, almost like a lullaby. Its lyric is touching where it easily could have been depressing. It’s a lovely debut and one hopes Colleen Grace will continue making music like this.
