Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell

Jenny Dalton’s debut is inspired by a relationship she had with a soldier based in Iraq. It stands as a cohesive whole, yet the songs work fine on their own too.

“Bad Day” is a lovely song, the singer and her piano painting evocative images.

“Snake Oil” has a quirky charm and a strong sense of loss.

“Deep Dark secrets” showcases Dalton’s sweet vocals as she sings of well, secrets.

“Circles” is a gorgeously sad song. Dalton’s at the top of her game as she sings this slightly country-flavored gem.

Her album is lovely and well worth investigating.
