Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds

Jennifer Mark’s third CD is a great one. This woman knows how to write a great pop song. She hits all the right nerves as well as all the right notes. She has a clear comfortable voice that matches her music like a dream and plays guitar with style and emotion.

“Even Though” is beautiful and has a bit of a haunting quality with it’s beautiful guitar picking and her smooth soothing voice.

“Really Something” is a great song that she wrote for her husband as a gift. It’s a gorgeous love song. You write a song like this for someone and they can’t help being putty in your hands. This is the song everyone wants someone to write about him or her.

The title track “It Turned Me On” is a semi-humorous and revealing story about sexual boundaries being tested. It’s quite enlightening and sounds funky and cool as well.

“…This twisted sensuality
Is something I have in me
I never realized just how soft I am…”

If good solid girl pop such as Lisa Loeb, Amy Fairchild and the like are your thing, you’ll also like Jennifer Marks. I know I do!
