Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell

Alacartoona’s new record is a live broadcast from KKK1’s show The Red Wheelbarrow. Their modern cabaret sound is intact from their debut.

Chanteuse Ruby Falls comes to the fore on “The Walk”.

No need to explain what “Just a Drink or Two” is about is there? We get a charming accordion part here as on the other songs.

“St James Infirmary Blues” is just as good, the band in good spirit. The song, which many others have sung, gains new life in these hands.

The album is short but very sweet. It gives a good idea of what the band is like live and I’d like to hear that for myself someday.
