Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds

Ellery was discovered here on Collected Sounds. Yep, the president of Virt Records read the review I wrote of their EP, Make Your Troubles Mine. He listened, liked and signed them. This is the second artist/group to be found that way, the first was Vienna Teng.

Onto the music…Well, I really enjoyed the EP and this record has all six songs that were there, along with five new ones. “Anna” was one of my favorites, and remains so.

“Songs for Lovers” is one of the new ones and is also a stand out. It has got a great piano part. Very nice song.

Also new is “The Simple Things”. Tasha Golden’s voice is superb and really shines on this one.

When I reviewed the EP my only complaint was that it was too short and I wished for a full length. I got my wish. This is lovely.
