Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell

Irina Björklund and her collaborator Peter Fox have made a record together.

Irina is of mixed heritage and sings in different languages and plays the musical saw. As can be expected her record is eclectic and fun.

“Names in the Stars” is a sweet little song with a lovely chorus.

“Trouble” sees the sound of the saw adding a spooky effect to the song.

“Casse-Moi” is a seductive chanson, which Björklund proves adept at.

“Lenny” is beautifully eccentric, a love song Björk would be proud of.

The final song sung in Finnish adds to the delightful collection with its sensitive sway.

This is genuinely original and thought provoking music
