Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds
Well, if you were wondering where good old rock and roll went, here it is.
So many of the CDs I’ve been getting for review lately have been computer generated, techno-pop and there is nothing wrong with that (I happen to like it very much) but it’s refreshing to hear a recording that is pure vocals and instruments.
9bobNOTE have put out a solid rock-pop album. Lead singer Trish Caruna has a lovely alto voice. It’s full of professional guitar playing and something I am not accustomed to hearing in a rock bad, the violin.
“Alone in my Way” might be my favorite song here. It’s got everything, interesting vocals, good melody and that violin rocks!
“We All Must Know” is also a stand out track.
This band is probably great live. They seem very fun, they even have a “fun” page on their site where you can draw funky psychedelic lines with your mouse.
If you’re looking for some good solid rock sounds check out 9bobNOTE.
