I struggled with this one at first. Very first impression, I liked the piano, but didn’t like the vocals. I thought his voice was too nasal.
Then the next time I thought the vocals were similar to Ben Folds (whom I adore). I hoped it would grow on me. It has.
I now totally hear Ben Folds, especially when he goes into falsetto voice.
It’s fun, up-tempo piano pop with interesting melodies and frenzied piano playing. I mean that in a good way, trust me. Fast and intricate playing with good rhythms.
A fun record of peppy happy-sounding songs.
