Album Name: The Waiting Room
Artist: Emma Lee
Year/Label: 2004 / Independent
Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds
I had an attack of “oh my god am I this old?” when I read that Emma-Lee was born my junior year in high school, but I’ll be OK.
What a fun CD. Emma-Lee’s voice is jazzy and smooth while the music is a combination of jazz and electronica (with a little disco bent). Reminiscent of the “Twilight Babies” and even sometimes, Jann Arden.
Emma-Lee’s voice is very nice and matches the genre well. I like this CD, too bad there are only 5 songs.
