Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell

Mia Doi Todd has made a beguiling record with minimal accompaniment. Her hushed voice and intriguing lyrics can’t help but affect the listener.

“Zeroone” is at it’s strongest on the chilling “Merry Me” where Doi Todd sings “Once I was enslaved to a human being. What to do today now that I’m free”. The sadness of these songs is not depressing though, but soothing.

It’s a perfect disc to listen to on a slow sunday.
