Review by Anna Maria Stjärnell
Sarah Shannon sang in Velocity Girl, now she makes her solo debut. The sound of her album is very polished and slick, but not overly so. Shannon’s trained voice shines throughout.
The poppy “I’ll Run Away” showcases the album’s strengths effectively. It sounds like a great lost Fleetwood Mac song from the seventies with its laid back vibe.
The album’s real gem is “When You Live Life Alone”. Here Shannon gives a vocal performance that’s filled with understated elegance and an almost tangible longing.
The more up tempo “Are You far Enough” is another fine moment.
This is a very nice record.
