Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds

I had actually seen Amy perform live about a year ago, when she was known as Amy Holland. It was one of those shows that had many artists each performing one song and I remember thinking I’d like to hear more of her. So I was delighted to receive this CD.

“Light the Candles” is a favorite of mine with its delicate piano and string arrangement and nicely placed background vocals. This is a beautiful song, which showcases her clear and lovely voice.

“It’s Gonna Rain Soon” starts off a capella then comes in with the light percussion and other instruments to make a great song that makes you want to move.

“One More Year” has a gorgeous piano introduction, which continues through the song. It’s a great way to end the CD.

This recording is an amalgam of genres. Some songs sound adult alternative, some jazzy, and one or two that have a country twang to them. But all the songs are good and Amy Angeline performs them very well.
