Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds

This is the style of music I call keg-rock. It makes me feel like I am in a dorm room (back when you could have kegs in dorms…yes I’m that old) jumping up and down to the music and drinking Old Milwaukee out of a plastic cup. And there’s nothing wrong with that.

There are horns, bongos, and funky guitars make up the bulk of their sound…which has been called World-Pop.

This is fun music. Mix one part Madness, one part Go-Gos, a Jamaican calypo band and a ball energy and you have Lovewhip.

Stand Out tracks: “I Don’t Know Why” and “Winnie the Wailer”.
