Sandie Shaw
So for the last few months, every Wednesday and Saturday nights we make cocktails and watch Transmission on Twitch.
If you don’t know, Transmission is a show produced by DJ Jake Rudh who has been a DJ in Minneapolis for over 20 years and has a regular show on The Current.
Since the pandemic, he started doing shows on Twitch, in which he plays videos from these amazing 80s artists. He specialized “in punk, post-punk, dark wave, new wave, new romantic, synth-pop, dream pop, shoegaze, brit-pop & indie.”
Anyway, I thought I was an 80s music expert and more importantly, an expert on The Smiths. I have been listening since the beginning and I love them.
So imagine my surprise one night, while watching Transmission and Jake played a video of The Smiths song, “Hand in Glove” but instead of Morrissey, it was a woman singing lead. Apparently, this is lore and I just wasn’t aware of it. Back in 1984 when The Smiths played on Top of the Pops (Britain’s version of “American Bandstand”) they performed with Sandie Shaw.
Sandie Shaw was born Sandra Ann Goodrich in Essex England. She’s a very well-known pop star in Britain in the ’60s. You probably know her hit, “Always Something There to Remind Me” but you probably know it by Naked Eyes. I didn’t know Sandie’s but I heard Dionne Warwick’s version growing up, which was before Sandie’s but only by about a year.
According to Wikipedia, in 1983,
“a new phase in her career began after she received a letter from “two incurable Sandie Shaw fans” – singer Morrissey and lead guitarist Johnny Marr of the Smiths – telling her that “The Sandie Shaw legend cannot be over yet – there is more to be done.” Shaw’s husband was a friend of Geoff Travis of Rough Trade Records, the label to which the Smiths were signed, and she agreed to record some of their songs.
In April 1984, her version of “Hand in Glove” (the Smiths’ first single) was released and peaked just inside the UK Top 30.”
She also had a single in 1969, called “Heaven Knows I’m Missing Him Now”, which was the inspiration for The Smiths song, “Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now”, 15 years later.
I just thought all of this was really interesting and something I had no idea about.

Pianist-vocalist Gracie Coates and violinist Rachel Ruggles met as high schoolers in a modern dance class at their public high school in Berkeley, CA. They are now based in Brooklyn, NY. Lucky for us they live together and have been able to release a new record in 2020. It’s called Hello Weakness, You Make Me Strong and it’s wonderful.
Their music is composed of beautiful pop melodies, piano, violin, and lovely harmonies. Rachel not only plays the violin as you would expect, but she plucks it similar to a guitar. She also plays the loop station and drum machine.
Their music is just so peaceful and what we can all use at this time.
They also do an awesome cover of Sia’s Elastic Heart

Sophie Payten (her given name) according to Wikipedia “worked at Prince of Wales Hospital as a doctor, after completing her medical studies at The University of New South Wales in 2018.” Yes, a doctor.
I discovered Gordi through the feature on Amazon music called My Discovery Mix. It just plays songs it thinks you will like and I have to say their algorithms are pretty spot on. It was first playing stuff from her 2017 release, Reservoir (I don’t recall which song) but I liked it enough to make a note to check out her other music.
I think I like her new album, Our Two Skins even better. “Aeroplane Bathroom” is really pretty. Her sound is sort of echoey, ethereal. There are some nice harmonies and cool melodies. Some of the songs have a bit of an 80s feel (my heart). I guess it’s the guitars. Anyway, I really hope you check out her music. Like, subscribe, stream, buy the album, etc.

Mikaela Mullaney Straus, better known by her stage name King Princess, is an American singer, songwriter, instrumentalist, and producer from Brooklyn, New York.
She is signed to Mark Ronson’s label Zelig Records.
In 2018 she released a few singles that gained her some notoriety, and then released her debut album, Cheap Queen, in 2019.
(reference, Wikipedia)
I discovered her when Amazon Music recommended her to me. I liked her enough to put her in my Ladies Night mix on Amazon Music. I shuffle that playlist every day and when I hear something I really like I ask Alexa who it is, and 9 times out of ten it’s King Princess.
Her sound ranges from contemporary pop to R&B to hard rock. It’s apparent watching her videos that she is an actress as well. She seems pretty comfortable playing different characters in them and it’s a joy to watch!
She does a cool version of the old Turtle’s classic, So Happy Together with Mark Ronson. But my favorites of her originals are Cheap Queen, Homegirl, Tough on Myself, but her video for Ohio is a wild ride!
I’m excited to see what else she puts out there and how popular she gets. I mean, she has over 750 THOUSAND Instagram followers, so…

Overcoats is a New York-based electronic-pop duo consisting of singer-songwriters Hana Elion and JJ Mitchell. They met on their first day of freshman year at Wesleyan University where they sat next to each other in an ‘Intro to Anthropology’ class. Their debut album, YOUNG, was released in 2017. Their latest album, The Fight came out in March of 2020.
When asked to describe their music the answer is: “It’s like Radiohead, but cool.”
I don’t know if Radiohead is what I think of when I hear them, but what I do hear are beautiful voices harmonizing wonderfully together. Think First Aid Kit without the country twang, maybe a titch of HAIM thrown in. The first song I heard of theirs was Leave the Light On and it remains one of my favorites.
When asked what is their favorite city to play in, they say: “We love all the cities equally. (Minneapolis)”. I hope someday to see them play here if the world ever opens up and it’s safe to go downtown again.
Here’s a cool article about them from American Songwriter magazine

This is by no means a new artist. You might remember a band called Trespassers William from way back in the late 90s-early 00s.
I was obsessed with their 2002 release, Different Stars. It was so beautiful and calming. I went through a period many years later where I had pretty bad panic attacks. One of the only ways to shake myself out of them was to listen to songs from that album. So I made sure to always have it with me (on my phone) so I could pop in those earbuds and calm myself.
Well, part of what made that music so amazing was the voice of the lead singer, Anna-Lynne Williams.
Flash forward to about 2008 and Anna-Lynne is now known by her stage name, Lotte Kestner. I remember hearing that was still making music and being so relieved! I wanted to be sure you all knew about her too.
She recently released an album called Covers, Vol. 2 – Listen on Spotify. She covers Catherine Wheel!
Here’s the rest of her stuff.

Have you ever gone down a rabbit hole on YouTube? You know, when you go there to watch just one video in particular and then it automatically plays another one right after that, that it thinks you will like and pretty soon it’s 3am? *
Well, I was goofing around on YouTube recently and came upon the song, “The Barrel”.
I was immediately mesmerized. I had questions. “What the heck is she doing? What is with the arms? Is she talking about…peaches?” But I could not look away.
Later in the day the song was still swimming around in my head and I scrambled to get back to YouTube to watch it again, and to learn more about the artist, Aldous Harding.
Wikipedia says she was born Hanna Sian Topp in New Zealand, but currently lives in Cardiff, Wales. She was set to perform at the End of the Road festival (with the Pixies!) but it’s been postponed to 2021. There’s not much else in the way of personal info readily available.
I added her album Designer, to my Amazon music playlist, Ladies Night, which is where I put the artists I’ve loved for a long time as well as my discoveries. So head on over there to listen if you wish!
I’ve been listening to all her songs all day and it’s official. I love her. Maybe you will too.

From their website:
Wyvern Lingo have been writing music together since they met at age 11. They originally bonded over hand-me-down albums of Led Zeppelin, Joni Mitchell and Simon & Garfunkel along with the R’n’B of the 90s/00s that then dominated the radio. Their music stitches together this tapestry of influences, all united by their chilling vocal harmonies.
The first I’d heard of them is from Collected Sounds friend/reader Robert Cullen. He sent me a link to their video, Used. It took me a while to listen, partially because I was busy and then I forgot. Oops! But once I listened I was in awe.
The video shows three women standing in a circle facing each other, on what appears to be the middle of a street, and they’re singing a capella. The harmonies are amazing and they all have lovely voices.
I did the YouTube Rabbit Hole thing and listened to some of their other songs. The others have a sort of funky beat, sometimes a bluesy guitar, a little R and B. They’re really lovely.

Bio:
Melissa Oliveri came to Minneapolis from Montreal, Canada in 2006, bringing with her an eclectic mix of both French- and English- Canadian cultures.
Her diverse influences range from Alternative music like Pixies and PJ Harvey, to French artists like France Gall, Serge Gainsbourg, and Jean Leloup, and women songwriters like Regina Spektor, Imogen Heap, Tori Amos, and Amanda Palmer.
Having experienced an important loss as a child and lived through the grief that ensued, her songs often tug on the heartstrings, but she can also write about everyday life situations from a humorous angle. Whether playing a silly song about her favourite snacks, dreaming about living among palm trees, or softly singing an ode to a departed loved one, her songs will make you feel exactly what she wants you to feel.

ELLE.com is exclusively premiering the video.
A self-taught musician, Aplin has been writing and recording songs since she was fifteen, and, as such, she wrote or co-wrote all of the original songs featured on the EP. Growing up in a self-confessed ‘hippy’ household where music was a family staple, she honed her craft listening to Joni Mitchell, Bruce Springsteen and Nick Drake. At the age of 17, she set up her own label, Never Fade Records, and went on to release three U.K. EPs, all of which charted on iTunes. Her YouTube channels are now approaching a staggering 57 million views, and for her premiere U.S. release, she’s crafted a selection of simultaneously timeless and of-the-moment anthems. Throughout the past year, Aplin has toured with John Mayer, Ed Sheeran and Gotye, performed at festivals including Glastonbury, T in the Park, and iTunes, among others, and headlined a sold out U.K. run.

Press Release
Kat Quinn releases EP, Kind of Brave
New York Singer/Songwriter and recent Jimmy Fallon guest follows acclaimed debut EP
Singer/songwriter Kat Quinn has released her second EP, Kind of Brave, an alluring, four-song collection that captures many sides to the songwriter. This release marks her emergence as one of the most promising up-and-comers in indie pop music.
Kat’s music found the national spotlight after being featured in the film Happily After, the soundtrack for which won a Gold Medal of Excellence at the Park City Film Festival. She was also recently chosen to perform on [Late Night with Jimmy Fallon] to much acclaim. “I was just blown away with Kat’s voice and songwriting,” said Peter Calo (Carly Simon producer/music director), “the range of her material takes you from serious life observing to tongue in cheek humor. Just wonderful.”
Kind of Brave reflects the emotional journey Kat has taken over the past few years. “I wanted each song to feed the listener in a different way,” said Kat Quinn, “and I feel like I got that with this record.” The EP opens with a joyful ukulele tune about letting go of fears as if they were “love letters on paper planes.” But Kat doesn’t shy away from digging into darker feelings, posing the question “do I take comfort in the pain or in the numbing?” in her song “The Door.” “It’s an emotive, beautifully written and recorded EP,” said Heidi Fisher of Sing For Your Supper, “If you’re a big fan of The Staves and Ingrid Michaelson, you’ll love this!”
“This Massachusetts native is quickly making a name for herself in the Big Apple” (Indie Music Reviewer Magazine). The creator of the iPhone App, VoxBox, was so taken with Kat’s music that he invited her to star in an ad for the app, where she sings her song “What Love Feels Like.” Her live performances have won praise for her easy-going charisma and warm, sensitive vocals, sharing stages with national acts like Ari Hest and international hit Jonathan Edwards. In addition to her own shows this spring, Kat will be touring as part of the Carole King Songbook series in March.

The band are currently finishing their debut album, which they describe as “dark and beat-orientated,” for the most part, although the mood will likely improve as the seasons change in Sweden. The aim? “We would really like if someone gets a feeling that they can take from it. We want to make an impact and for people to be touched,” says Michel. “Most importantly, it is going to come from the heart”.

This band’s press release showed up in my inbox, I took a listen and I really liked it. So I thought you might too.
“Playboy School takes no sides, incorporating the danceability of the beloved Friday night DJ set with showmanship that inspires nostalgia for a rock and roll era long past.
With the contributions of some of the region’s most noteworthy musicians, this electronic rock duo (Liani Moore and Mackenzie Knoester) has crafted a set of songs that is both heartfelt in content, and ass-moving in form.
A classically trained multi-instrumentalist, Moore lends a discerning ear for arrangement, coupled with an on-stage charisma that could power a small city. Knoester’s contribution to Playboy School as utility-man and drummer represents an unexpected departure from her modus operandi in regionally-acclaimed all-girl hard rock outfit, Aroarah.
Playboy School is taking its freshest recordings on the road, with recent appearances at such noteworthy venues as Ace of Spades (Sacramento), the Uptown (Oakland), the Roxy (Hollywood), and San Francisco and LA Gay Prides.”

Press release:
Rising London quintet Years & Years are set to release their irresistible debut single “I Wish I Knew” on September 24th through the Good Bait imprint.
Intricately weaving a patchwork of laptop rhythms, razor sharp guitar riffs and deep sub-bass, Years & Years have created their own distinctive brand of danceable, folk tinged electro-pop.
Their debut single “I Wish I Knew” showcases Years & Years ability to cleverly juxtapose warm organic instrumentation with electronic elements, to produce innovative and intelligent sing-a-long pop. Accompanied by slower and sweeping B-side “The Whale”, this first taste of Years & Years offers a perfect introduction to this new and exciting band.
Throwing out the rulebook, the band describe their open-minded approach to songwriting, guitarist Emre explains “Someone will come in with a concept or an idea and then we basically bash the living shit out of it until we have something great.”
Their formation was also somewhat unorthodox with two of the members, Noel and Mikey, meeting at a protest against Heathrow airport’s expansion in 2010. Emre and Olivier soon followed, joining the band after answering an advert online. However the group still lacked a singer. It was by chance that Mikey found lead vocalist Olly; “I was round a friend’s house where Olly was renting a room, heard him singing in the shower and thought, “Yeah, he’s got a good voice.”
Already counting BBC 6 Music’s Lauren Laverne as an admirer, Years & Years look set to continue attracting fans with the stunning release of “I Wish I Knew”.

Marika Hackman
Meet Marika Hackman…
[press release]
There’s a violence to the countryside, encapsulated in the sumptuous prose of D.H Lawrence’s in which metaphors engorge and heighten into states of pure ecstasy. A fantastic and virulent strain of writing which, thanks to Marika Hackman, now exists in song. Double A-Side “You Come Down” and “Mountain Spines” produced by Johnny Flynn and Adam Beach from the Sussex Wit will be released September 3rd through Transgressive imprint paradYse (Theme Park, Cold Specks).
Marika’s music channels something very different to the happy-clappy nature of recent folk hers is a far more potent vision in the lineage of Syd Barrett, but presented by an enigmatic beauty with a striking vocal delivery more akin to that of Nico deftly exploring an unsmiling bereft landscape.
“I don’t know why I started writing; it’s something I’ve been playing around with since I was so young that I can’t remember how it began. I think living in the countryside for most of my life has affected my writing as nature usually manages to creep its way into my songs…”
With tours already in place with Benjamin Francis Leftwich, and new fans such as Zane Lowe proclaiming her his Next Hype, you can be sure that Marika Hackman will blossom into one of the most important creators and interpreters of song in our times.

[Download your copy of the single]
Press Release:
“Mona Lisa Overdrive” is Tango in the Attic’s second single from their forthcoming album “Sellotape” (released May 28th). The single will be released along with an accompanying video.
Like previous single “Pawprints”, it’s noisier than anything from the first album using roomy reverbs and garage guitars. Whilst it is deliberately understated, Mona Lisa Overdrive maintains the pop qualities of previous endeavors opting for simplicity in song structure.
The accompanying video documents the band’s recent tour of America during which they played a large number of shows at SXSW. The video is a similarly understated affair with the band maintaining a degree of anonymity for a large part of the song.
The bands previous single “Pawprints” was released in March this year whilst a live version of the track “Swimming Pool” was also recently released as a taster of what to expect from Sellotape. Both videos were picked up on NME, MUZU, Clash, Artrocker and “Swimming pool” made Spinner’s Video of the Day.
Jordan Craig (vocals / guitar), Jonathan McFarlane (guitar), James Crook (bass) and Paul Johnson (drums), all from Glenrothes, formed Tango in the Attic in 2008. After the release of Bank Place Locomotive Society (2010), the band took time out to pursue other projects, coming back together in October 2011 to record their second album. Their debut received brilliant support from the likes of NYLON magazine, Artrocker, The Line of Best Fit and The Skinny with their singles receiving plays on BBC 6Music, Absolute Radio and BBC Radio 1 Scotland.

From her press release:
“Miller, a classically trained pianist who studied under a Julliard alumna for ten years, began her career in the Brooklyn and East Village music scenes in 2007. With song topics ranging from love to bathroom graffiti, Miller’s music oscillates flawlessly between folk-ish tunes on guitar and pounding numbers on the piano.
The anticipated follow-up to her 2010 debut album Fake Love, Measures & Waits is about the toils of measuring and waiting for love.
With quirky lyrics that teeter between honesty, seriousness and silliness, Miller — who was named “New York’s best kept secret” (ResidentMediaPundit) — has developed a reputation for her unique live shows, which are often highlighted by her propensity for error. “I always mess up somehow in a live show. Whether I forget the words, screw up the music, or fall off the stage — true story.” These “Debbie Do-overs” have become fan favorites. “I think it’s because people respond to authenticity and honesty in art and performance,” she said.
After moving cross-country to Seattle in 2010, Miller immersed herself in the legendary music scene and has been quickly embraced by West Coast audiences.
“…A highlight of the night was watching the adorable Debbie Miller take on the role of the Queen of Hearts, as she sang an unexpectedly humorous song about the joys of chopping off heads wherever she goes.” – City Arts Magazine
Miller has performed at The Living Room, Rockwood Music Hall (Stage 1 and Stage 2), Bar 4 and Café Vivaldi in New York City. In Seattle she’s graced the stages of the Fremont Abbey, Conor Byrne Pub, and JewelBox Theater at the Rendezvous, and will celebrate the release of Measures & Waits at Columbia City Theater this spring.”
I have heard some of this and so far, I love it! I think you will too!

“It is the result of a collective creative process with the songs reflecting our ever on-going travelling through a world of magical mountains, deep woods and golden fields.” says Solander.”

I saw Hannah Fairchild’s photo and liked her right away. Then I read her bio and it made me laugh and I wanted to have a drink with her.
Her music is energetic, poppish rock. It makes me want to jump up and down. There’s a bit of musical theater-ness in it as well, which is always fun.
Her album All Our Heroes Drank Here is out January 17th so keep an eye out for that. I’ll post when I know where you can buy it.
But in the mean time I’m happy to be able to share with you, the song, The Fox Wedding, which is an exclusive B-Side!

I have a new band for you! They’re called Raleigh and they are: Clea Anaïs-Vocals, Cello, Keys; Brock Geiger – Vocals, Guitar, Bass; and Matt Doherty – Drums.
They’re from Calgary (you knew I’d like it, they’re Canadian!). They remind me a little of Fleet Foxes, a little of Belle & Sebastian…lovely dreamy layered pop. Here’s how the pros describe them:
“Beautifully layered songs that are as delicate as they are sophisticated. Tight vocal harmonies interweave and counterpoint with instrumental arrangements that sound far larger than their lineup might indicate. Geiger and Anaïs’ lyrics are both literate and accessible, creating an entire storybook world where characters are well rounded and familiar, traveling through settings that are all their own.” – BeatRoute Magazine

I’ve got some new music for you to take a listen to. Fair warning…it’s a little different from what you normally hear here, but that’s what’s cool.
So here are the deets:
Trumpet Grrrl first started playing the trumpet at age 10. Her bio says, “Despite a lack of natural talent on the instrument, she practiced hard and joined many youth music programs” which cracked me up. I love a gal who won’t give up. Usually this means that the result isn’t going to be very good, but hang on:
“As a result she, performed with the National Symphony Orchestra, played at Carnegie Hall and met many well renowned classical musicians.”
Pretty great, huh?
So in 2010 she started recording this project, The Basement Tracks made in, of course, her basement studio. She wrote all the songs and produced them all herself (with the exception of the track, Amaryllis, whose beats were done by PT Burnem).
It’s a little off the beaten track, but really pretty cool! Trumpet Grrrl is based in Burtonsville, MD.

They’ve been gaining great radio and TV support for Isles and are continuing their tour of the UK with 20 dates in the next month alone!
They describe the song thusly:
“The song is called ‘Isles’ and I suppose it is just a collection of notes and words that fell out of us when whilst practicing in Gateshead. Like lots of places we’ve travelled to, there a strange disconnect between the people and their environment. Despite the simplification of bleak streets and wild youth, the lyrics can maybe convey the yearning subject matter more accurately.”

Review by Amy Lotsberg Producer of Collected Sounds
This is a good one for me to post today since it’s my birthday, and I really like this one! It’s super cool.
Lonely Drifter Karen is Tanja Frinta, Marc Melia Sobrevias and Giorgio Menossi. I’m not quite sure how to classify this. It’s really kinda…I know I can’t say unique because something can’t be sort of unique it either is or it isn’t. And while I know I’ve not heard anything exactly like it before, maybe you have. They remind me of a few other artists depending on the song.
This consists of:
Female lead, sweet lilting voice.
Background swoopy vocals, psychedelic-ish. Includes whistling.
Catchy songwriting that creates amazing ear worms.
Some songs are poppy, some torchy, some dirgy.
Something’s Scorching is definitely a stand out. It’s spooky and swampy and cool.
From start to finish this one’s great. It is an exceptional album and one that’s soaring to the top of my list.
They’ve agreed to let me share a track with you too! [download A Roof Somewhere]

This band came across my desk today and I really like their sound.
A little info:
REDTRACK consist of Billy Wright (guitar / vox), Phil Blake (bass / vox), Mitch Silvey (guitar / vox / keys) and Andrew Perry (drums). They come from Southend-On-Sea, their bass player has survived an attack with a meat cleaver and they reckon they sound like a cross between Girls Aloud and The Clash.
They’ve been gracious enough to offer you guys two, count ’em TWO songs for you! What nice guys!

I just heard these guys and I really like them! I wonder where I’ve been, as this is their 4th album.
Here’s the PR:
Since the 2007 release of Welcome to the Night Sky, which earned the band both a Juno Award and a MuchMusic Video Award, Wintersleep has performed hundreds of shows including sold-out headlining dates, an opening slot for Sir Paul McCartney in Canada, a US tour with Wolf Parade and a three month long European tour with Editors and have just embarked on a US tour with The Hold Steady. As a result, the songs on their newest offering New Inheritors were essentially born on the road, showcasing the band’s range, scope and sophistication. Now the band is happy to announce an extensive Canadian tour to take place immediately following their US dates with The Hold Steady

I found out about Tone Damli from a Facebook ad (take note advertisers) and was a little curious because she’s Norweigian. As you may know, I have a very soft spot for Scandinavian pop music. So I checked her out.
She has a good voice, though I find it a little too affected for my simple tastes. The music is American soundeing pop music that appeals to many. So I guess my verdict is that she’s talented but too mainstream for me, personally.
I felt the same way about Colbie Callait and she sung the National Anthem the other day and is on a new Sixthman cruise. So Tone Damli will probably be quite popular soon. Esepcially if she gets a song on Grey’s Anatomy or something.
Here’s her website [http://www.tonedamli.com/].

Taking the name Wow & Flutter in the late 90’s from a term for analog tape fluctuation, frontman Cord Amato revels in imperfections. The band’s current lineup solidified around 2006 with Amato rounded out by Jack Houston on drums and Ryan Matheson on bass and keyboard. Their new album, Equilibrio!(Italian for balance), finds the trio crawling into a much darker space than 2008’s critically lauded Golden Touch.

They look like fun, huh? Cool stuff.

KENDEL CARSON’S FLIRTATIOUS, BOISTEROUS ‘ALRIGHT DYNAMITE’ OUT JUNE 23
Carson Set To Perform At NYC’s The Living Room With Special Guest Chip Taylor June 1st
Kendel Carson shows she’s quite a pistol on her new album Alright Dynamite, out June 23 on Train Wreck Records. A magnetic 24-year-old with a honey-dipped voice and serious fiddling chops, Carson demonstrates spunk and sultriness on the album’s 14 tracks. At times flirtatious and bawdy, at others wistful and reflective, on the new album Carson demonstrates an exceedingly confident spirit, building upon her 2007 debut Rearview Mirror Tears, named one of the top five Roots albums of the year by Q magazine.
Produced by legendary songwriter Chip Taylor, who co-wrote 4 songs with Carson and penned 9 others for the album, ‘Alright Dynamite’ highlights include the slinky boogie of “Belt Buckle,” on which Carson declares “pour some water on me, it’s too hot for me here” as she receives sultry stares from a good looking admirer; the rollicking “Seven Shadows On My Golden Roses”; the back porch feel of the breezy “Ooh That Dress”; and a foot stomping, hoe-down take on the Janis Joplin classic “Mercedes Benz.”
On Lady K, Kendel Carson weaves a sensual tale of lust and “erotic dreams of aristocratic men.” Over delicate piano and mournful fiddle, Carson lets a paramour know: “I see where your eyes go and where they rest, I’ve never felt such pounding in my chest.”
